Katrin Eismann is an internationally respected photographer and educator whose work spans interpretive travel, still life, and portrait photography. With a career dedicated to the art and craft of the image, she has authored and co-authored four landmark books — Photoshop Restoration & Retouching, Photoshop Masking & Compositing, The Creative Digital Darkroom, and Real World Digital Photography — which have been translated into numerous languages and used by photographers and artists around the world.

Katrin's images have appeared in books, magazines, and exhibitions, both group and solo, including a featured gallery at the prestigious Xposure International Photography Festival in Sharjah, UAE in 2024. She is the founder and former chair of the Masters in Digital Photography program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City — a program that has shaped the careers of a generation of creative and professional image-makers.

Her industry recognition includes induction into the Photoshop Hall of Fame in 2005 and a decade-long tenure as a Sony Artisan of Imagery. From 2019 to 2026, she served as Senior Adobe Product Manager for Learning and Inspiration, bringing her educator's instincts to one of the world's most widely used creative platforms.

A fluent speaker of German and English, Katrin has presented on all seven continents — and has never met a pixel she didn't want to improve, adjust, or enhance.
