Where do you spend the most time with your captured images? This is where color management through color calibration can immensely benefit our workflow. Knowing that your edit will reflect exactly what you envision and present to the world can be a source of pride and joy. Doing it right on the first try can save you time, resources, and money, especially if you print any images. In this talk, we’ll simplify the concepts and walk you through how to get started with color calibration; we’ll go over the various calibration equipment and pitfalls and how to avoid them. We’ll top everything off with the advantage of a hardware calibration, explain why you might need one, and explain how it can save you considerable time and money in the long run. Bio
Art Suwansang is a photographer based in Southern California. He runs a global technology consulting business specializing in creative workflow, from computer configuration, setup, and repairs to storage and data management, networking, and color management. He has also taught and consulted for many colleges and universities domestically and abroad.
Art’s ease in understanding complex technical challenges in technology, digital photography, and color manipulation has put him at the forefront of color management. His partnership in color expertise includes Calibrite, where he is one of their ambassadors, a color expert, and an influencer. Most prominently, he is BenQ's global ambassador and has been working closely with the company on their professional display lines for photographers and creatives. In addition, he is also a partner and influencer with Adobe Systems Incorporated.
